Litchfield, Connecticut

Ice

White Memorial Conservation Center, Litchfield, Connecticut

A few days ago we had morning temperature in the low twenties so I went out specifically looking for ice to work with, but only found a thin film of ice on the ponds and swamp waters.

Into the Autumn Woods, One

Litchfield, Connecticut

At White Memorial Conservation Center. Conditions were on and off light rain, making for quite luminous light. I'm hoping for good conditions to do a few more of these sessions in the next few days and see if I can put a series together for printing as a possible portfolio in Pt/Pd. These files are from digital captures adjusted in ACR, including a bit of split-tone effect that gives them a little of the look of Pt/Pd prints.

SECURITY, with Lions

Today is Election Day

New York, New York

Well, yesterday was, with some surprising results across the country. After voting in the morning I was in New York to do some shooting and attend the evening open house at The Penumbra Foundation, where I teach workshops several times a year. The weather had turned suddenly and it was cold, dark, and rainy all afternoon, but I found some interesting things that will be running here on the blog the next few days.
